High-Point Series Awards
Two Overall High-Point Horse awards
If you have a versatile horse, this is the award you should be aiming for! You, your mom, grandfather, niece, cousin, and uncle could all ride and go for this title together! There is nothing to it other than to go out, show, and get as many points as you can!
- Non-AQHA horse
- Awarded to the highest point-earning non-AQHA registered horse who showed at both L1/All-Breed shows.
- AQHA horse
- Awarded to the highest point-earning AQHA registered horse who showed at both L1/All-Breed shows.
The horse must show at both L1/All-Breed shows. Points will be counted across all divisions and exhibitors.
Three High-Point Discipline awards
If your horse has a specialty, this is the award to keep your eyes on! Ranch, english, and western horses all have a shot at this one!
- High-Point Ranch Horse
- The horse must show in Ranch Conformation. Points also count in Halter, Ranch Trail, Ranch Rail, Ranch Sign Class, Ranch Riding, and Reining.
- Awarded to the total highest point-earning horse in the classes listed above.
- High-Point English Horse
- The horse must show in a halter class. Points also count in Showmanship, Hunter Under Saddle, and Hunt Seat Equitation.
- Awarded to the total highest point-earning horse in the classes listed above.
- High-Point Western Horse
- The horse must show in a halter class. Points also count in Showmanship, Trail, Western Pleasure, and Horsemanship.
- Awarded to the total highest point-earning horse in the classes listed above.
The horse must show required classes at both L1/All-Breed shows. Points will be counted across all divisions and exhibitors.
Ten High-Point and All-Around Champion awards
Here is the chance for you to shine amongst your peers! There is an All-Around or High-Point award given in each division. All you have to do to be in the running is show at least three times (read the specifics for each award below.)
- High-Point divisions - All-Breed Walk-Trot 18 & Under | All-Breed Walk-Trot 19 & Over | AQHA L1 Walk-Trot Youth | AQHA L1 Walk-Trot Amateur
- Walk-Trot High-Point contenders must show in at least 3 walk-trot classes in their desired division(s) at both L1/All-Breed shows to qualify.
- All-Around divisions - All-Breed 18 & Under | All-Breed 19 & Over | AQHA Level 1 Youth | AQHA Level 1 Amateur | AQHA Rookie Youth | AQHA Rookie Amateur
- All-Around contenders must show in a halter class and at least 2 classes in their desired division(s) at both L1/All-Breed shows to qualify.
All-Around and High-Point awards will be figured by horse/exhibitor combo. The horse and rider combo must show required classes at both L1/All-Breed shows.
